Our longtime German synthpop friends T.O.Y. are back and will release new studio album «The Prophet» - on December 5th, 2025 via Artoffact Records.

Shaped by the spirit of the 80s and recorded on authentic vintage gear such as the LinnDrum, Roland Juno 60 and the iconic Prophet 5, the album features 11 tracks full of electronic energy and timeless melodies. Special guests include: Marian Gold (Alphaville), Jonathan White (Faithless)(bass) and Tom Steinbrecher (guitar) with additional contributions from longtime companions Helge Wiegand and Marc A. Nathaniel.

«“The Prophet” is something truly special. During the Corona pandemic, wrapped in isolation, we all needed consistency, a sense of comfort, and security. I found that feeling through sounds—the sounds I have known my whole life: the music of the 80s. During the pandemic, I began replacing my virtual synthesizers and plug-ins with the original instruments, like a LinnDrum, The Prophet 5 and the legendary Roland VP330. It was a time-consuming, costly, yet beautiful process. These instruments, the primordial soup from which the style of music I love so deeply was born, were a revelation to me. Courageously and full of ideas, one song after another emerged. Motivated by the wonderful collaboration and friendship with Alphaville frontman Marian Gold, who kept encouraging me with words about how good this record was, the pandemic passed, and so did one year after another. Through my friendship with Faithless drummer Andy Treacey, I got in touch with Jonathan White, also a member of the Faithless family. A true genius on bass in live performances, he became part of the album as well. “The Prophet” is passion, history, a vintage museum, and full of great songs that are waiting to be heard.»

First new single «Neon Lights» is released September 5th, 2025. «Neon Lights» delivers driving beats and an addictive melody – the perfect bridge from new version of «Turn On!» feat. Marian Gold, «Home», and «Silent Soldiers» to the full journey of «The Prophet».
