Berlin-based Darkness On Demand has joined forces with Belgian label Alfa Matrix in preparation for their third album, «Digital Outcast», due to be released in September 2023. «Final Way» EP is already out June 2nd.

German guys Gary Wagner and Falgalas Duus inaugurated the repertoire of now cult label Machinery Records as Dance or Die and were often described as the first band making the bridge between EBM industrial and cold wave gothic music, between Front 242 and The Sisters of Mercy.

Since 2017, they continue intelligently merging moody melodic electronics, dark poignant expressive vocals and upbeat frontal EBM industrial assaults under the Darkness on Demand moniker (with the same DOD acronym) with a strong and engaged lyrical focus bridging science fiction themes with major issues of our current society.

First song from the new album - «Hang On» - gets released here in a collaboration version together with their neo-folk martial side-project Winterhart. Dramatic echoing piano lines and orchestral synth arrangements beautifully leave room to these almost depressive dark and touching vocals you will quickly sing along with, and that will bring back memories of the claustrophobic moments of the Covid19 lockdown and all the societal excesses and abuses it generated.
