[ 23.08.2005 ] - Again and finally: «Rosenrot»!The new Rammstein album will not be called «Reise, Reise Vol.2» but «Rosenrot» - this was decided by the band in a meeting recently. «Benzin», the so far only song from the new album which was introduced to the public due to the Wuhlheide concerts in June 2005, will be the first single of the album too. Preparations for the release are getting into top gear. The video for «Benzin» has just been shot and is in its postproduction now; there is work done for several remixes, as well as artwork for the cover of the single and the album. You will find more here shortly.

Industrial-rock legends Ministry will celebrate their 25th birthday with a new album due next month and an extensive tour in 2006. The 15-track «Rantology» rounds up such favorites as «Jesus Built My Hotrod» and «N.W.O.» retooled by group leader Al Jourgensen as well as live versions of «Psalm 69», «Thieves» and «The Fall».
Due September 27th via Sanctuary Records, «Rantology» also sports the new song «The Great Satan», which will appear on a new Ministry studio album next April.
In addition, the first 1000 copies of «Rantology» ordered from the site will be autographed by the band.

Originally, the album was to be released this Summer (August 29th), but the new release date is October 3rd (via Island/Universal Records).

Finally returning after a too long break of over three years, Norwegian electronic band Apoptygma Berzerk are back on September 12th, 2005 with their brand new album «You And Me Against The World» (via Gun Supersonic). Their first release of new material since 2002's «Harmonizer» album propelled them to the forefront of the emerging future-pop scene - APB transcend genre bounderies with their infectious blend of catchy trance infused electronics, rousing choruses and compelling club arrangements. Constantly updating their sound, new album «You And Me Against The World» sees APB mastermind Stephan Groth returning with a new, refreshed vigour and an invigorated sonic palette, welcoming former APB guitarist Anders Odden back into the fold to add a rockier, more bombastic edge to their overall sound. Still firmly electronic (as witnessed on first single «In This Together») «You And Me Against The World» is a seamless blend of huge synth arrangements and cool guitar riffs with Groths voice sounding better than ever - add to this neatly inserted elements of APB patented EBM, electro, trance and dancefloor manouvers for a welcome return from one of the giants of the scene.

[ 12.08.2005 ] - New album by In Strict ConfidenceThe release of the new In Strict Confidence album is scheduled January 2006 exactly two years after the issue of the band’s last fulltime-work «Holy».
Recordings are planned to be finished by August. Also, the extensive and complex artwork shall be completed by then, so the band is very confident to meet the schedule.
At present, the release of a single or EP is being discussed within the band. Most probably, it will be available as soon as November.
In March 2006, In Strict Confidence will embark on a grand tour. More info on that will be provided within the next days.

[ 12.08.2005 ] - Fantastic live DVD from Duran DuranThis Autumn sees the release of Duran Duran's «Live From London» single disc DVD and double disc Box set. It shows the reunited five original members (Taylor, Taylor, Taylor, Rhodes and LeBon) performing at Wembley Arena 2004. Utilising 14 cameras the DVD captures two out of five (!) sold-out concerts. Also this is the first live DVD to feature a song in 3D (glasses included). Release dates: October 25th (USA), October 31th (Europe except UK) and November 7th (UK).

After 3 1/2 years' break Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy are back. They continue their outstanding career with the release of their 8th studio album.
The first single «Celice» will be released October 4th. The uptempo song is a consequent development of the unique a-ha sound. The still untitled album will be released November 7th.
Those who will see a-ha during the upcoming tour can look forward to a journey through 20 years of a-ha's musical history, as well as material from the upcoming album.

With its 40th Anniversary looming in 2006, Sire Records will be celebrated this fall with a four-disc boxed set. Due September 13th via Sire/Rhino, «Just Say Sire: The Sire Records Story» rounds up 61 tracks on three audio CDs and another 20 music videos on a DVD.
Sire was founded in 1966 by former Billboard staffer Seymour Stein and Richard Gottehrer. The label is perhaps best known for revealing the New York underground rock scene (The Ramones, Television, The Talking Heads) to a worldwide audience in the mid and late 1970s and, years later, rearing the careers of such acts Madonna, The Pretenders and The Smiths.
All of those acts are represented on «Just Say Sire», as are Morrissey, Erasure, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, The Tom Tom Club, Seal, The Cult, Ice-T, k.d. lang, Primal Scream, The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, My Bloody Valentine, The Replacements, Dinosaur Jr. and Wilco. 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Stein served as the co-producer for the box, overseeing remastering of all the tracks.
The DVD features such clips as Madonna's «Like a Prayer», The Ramones' «Rock'n'Roll High School», The Pretenders' «Brass in Pocket», Echo & the Bunnymen's «The Cutter» and The Talking Heads' «Once in a Lifetime»."

On September 4th, 2005 Russian indie record label Q-Code Records will release «Russian Existence» (A Tribute to Project Pitchfork). «Russian Existence» dedicated to cult German band Project Pitchfork - legends of world dark wave scene, which inspired whole generation of electronic bands.
16 bands from Russia, representatives of various music genres, united at this tribute album and did their versions of best Project Pitchfork songs.

[ 08.08.2005 ] - Skyshaper» delayedAlready announced release of Covenant «Skyshaper» is being delayed until late January 2006 - in order to make the most efficient campaign for the release. In the same time single would still be released this year. The tour has also been rescheduled as a result to February, but the line-up will remain the same though: Client and Rotersand will still be the support acts, for the European leg at least.
