As we already inform you, «Amerika» will be the name of the second single release from the new Rammstein album, which should be released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in September. The video for «Amerika» was shot on August 6th and 7th by director Jörn Heitmann (he filmed «Ich will») in Ruedersdorf near Berlin. The video premiere will take place in August, and single will out on September 6th.

Depeche Mode - Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher - are unique. For nearly 25 years they have been making groundbreaking music, which has influenced generations of artists.
Depeche Mode have always been at the vanguard of remix culture since its inception, and the history of Depeche Mode is inextricably linked with the history of the remix. Very early on in their career the band worked closely and extensively with up and coming remixers who would go on to become pivotal figures in the field including Francois Kevorkian, Adrian Sherwood, William Orbit, Portishead and Air.
«Remixes 81-04» is a 2-disc set spanning over 20 years of Depeche Mode's pioneering remixes. Almost a greatest hits collection, the album is a compendium of Depeche Mode classics remixed by some of the best remixers in the world, including Underworld, Goldfrapp, Air, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Timo Maas, Flood and of course Depeche Mode themselves. It is also released as a limited edition triple disc set, featuring a bonus disc of highly collectable and rare remixes. At once a celebration but also an historical record of the evolution of the remix, the album is a fascinating and deeply rewarding document of an emerging art form.
Highlights include a brand new remix of «Halo» by Goldfrapp, «Barrel Of A Gun» by Underworld, «Home» remixed by Air as well as a new mix of «Enjoy The Silence» by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda.
The limited edition bonus CD features remixes of «A Question of Lust» by Flood and «World In My Eyes» by Daniel Miller plus a William Orbit mix of «Walking In My Shoes» and a Danny Tenaglia mix of the hypnotic and seductive «I Feel Loved». Also included are brand new mixes by Goldfrapp, Ulrich Schnauss, Colder and Rex the Dog.
The release of this album will be preceded by the single, «Enjoy The Silence», featuring mixes by Mike Shinoda, Timo Maas and Ewan Pearson, plus additional tracks mixed by LFO, Blackstrobe, Goldfrapp and Headcleaner. The single is released on October 18th (UK/Mute Records) and on October 19th (US/Reprise Records).
«Depeche Mode is one of the most influential groups of our time», says Mike Shinoda on one of his favourite bands, «Their music is an inspiration to me, and I am excited for our fans to hear my take on one of my favourite Depeche Mode songs.»
Alison Goldfrapp adds: «Depeche Mode are the only electronic band to have risen above their own genre and it was a privilege to have worked on such a great track.»
A sentiment echoed by Timo Maas: «We were proud to be asked to remix, «Enjoy The Silence».... but Depeche Mode are a seminal band and the track is one of the top 10 all time classics... it wasn't easy when the melodies are burned in your brain. I think it worked out pretty well though.»
«It's a dangerous business messing with the classics», confides Ewan Pearson, «I always swore blind I'd never do a remix of something I loved so much, but of course, when you're asked it's impossible to say no. «Enjoy the Silence» is one of my favourite singles of all time - I still have my battered 7 inch copy and I guess its one of the reasons why I decided to make music myself in the first place.»
Martin Gore reflecting on the Depeche Mode remix era said, «It's an amazing feeling to sit back and listen to such an interesting mix of artists take the spirit of Depeche Mode and add another dimension.»

Yesterday Rammstein officially announced that their second new single will be track «Amerika». The preparations for the new videoshooting are already at full speed. Director of the video will be once again Jorn Heitmann (he directed videos for «Sonne» and «Ich will»). You will find more details about the single and video later.

The last few weeks our German progressive pop favorites De/Vision and their record label Drakkar worked very intense on the production of their own DVD. The work was just finished, and finally on August 30th the first DVD authorized by the band will be released!
Titled «Unplugged and The Motion Pictures», it has DVD VIdeo with more than 100 minutes playing time plus bonus Audio CD with previously unreleased remixes.

The new Rammstein single «Mein Teil» has just been released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in two versions - jewel case and limited-edition digipak. The only difference is the case; the jewel case is plastic, and the digipak is made mostly of paperboard. A third version will be released on August 9th, a limited-edition «Pock-It!» single, which has only the first two tracks, is a mini-CD, and is cheaper than the normal editions. In various other countries there will be a 2-track edition that is a normal-sized CD, but is otherwise identical to the Pock-It! edition. A vinyl edition with yet another tracklisting will also be available, though not through the normal channels as it seems it is intended for DJs only.
On the regular singles (jewel case and digipak) is a bonus program called The Rammstein Monitor. Each CD was manufactured with a unique ID number which can only be used once to register the program. Therefore, it can not be copied. The Rammstein Monitor contains news, information, pictures, and videos and will continue to be updated until the end of 2005 with new material. It can also be used as a screen-saver, displaying high-quality full-screen pictures of the band.

Depeche Mode release for the first time on DVD, their acclaimed performance film, «Devotional», recorded on the band's 1993 sold out world tour. Directed by the innovative photographer and director and longterm Depeche Mode visual collaborator, Anton Corbijn, this hugely impressive and visually stunning film perfectly captures the essence of one of Britain's most pioneering acts at the height of their powers. On its release in 1993, «Devotional» was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video.
The «Devotional» 2 disc DVD is a compilation of the band's live performances recorded in Frankfurt and Barcelona on the band's «Devotional» world tour. Extras, exclusive to DVD, include a Depeche Mode rockumentary, an interview with Anton Corbijn and six remastered promo videos, including «Walking In My Shoes». The DVD also features a series of eight back projections that were used on the second half of the tour.
The performance includes renditions of Depeche Mode classics, «Personal Jesus», «Walking In My Shoes» and «Enjoy The Silence», «Never Let Me Down Again» with exclusive bonus tracks, «Halo» and «Policy of Truth».
«Devotional» is a beautifully filmed document of one of the band's most lavish and ambitious shows ever. With an epic and innovative stage design and unique visuals, all produced by Anton Corbjin, «Devotional» is more than just a live DVD - it is a journey not to be forgotten.
