Placebo - 20 years of - World Tour 2016/17

PLACEBO

20 YEARS OF

WORLD TOUR 2016/17

Twenty years after the release of their landmark self-titled debut album, Placebo have announced a world tour celebrating two decades of being at the forefront of alternative rock. Starting in Denmark on October 13th, 2016 and running through to December 15th, tickets for the 20 Years Of Placebo World Tour will go on sale via Ticketmaster and official band's web-site. Fans will be given a special 48-hour pre-sale window, starting 9am on March 16th, with tickets going on general sale at 9am on Friday March 18th.

Underlining Placebo’s continual evolution, a series of 20 different posters are being released in each city that they perform in, amounting to a stunning visual history of the ever-changing group over their 20-year career. The setlists, too, promise to span the group’s entire history, with Brian Molko alluding to «songs in the set that I’ve sworn never to play again.»

«This tour is very much for the fans and a chance for us to revisit a lot of our early material,» he says. «I think it’s time that we purposefully acknowledged what a lot of Placebo fans want to hear.»

Shows to be played in 2017 will be revealed at a later date.
