Waiting is over - after 6 years our favorite German voice Peter Heppner returns with his new studio album «Confessions & Doubts». As album companion, there will be new album of dance remixes, «TanzZwang».

At the beginning both «Confessions & Doubts» and «TanzZwang» were just twenty songs that Heppner had written with Dirk Riegner. One half were romantic melancholic pop. The other half were absolute danceable. When Heppner felt that a song should be danceable, he said «TanzZwang!». So they decided to split songs into two albums, studio one and remix danceable.

«Confessions & Doubts» is a classic Heppner: romantic in melody lines, deep in the beats and cathartic in the vocals. Heppner designed sound together with producer Alex Lys.

Heppner: «They [songs] are like confessions. You can learn a lot about me and my character when listening my music. Doubt is also central to doing art. I think the album title «Confessions & Doubts» describes me well as an artist at this moment.»

Each of the ten «TanzZwang» songs was placed directly in the hands of another producer. The only requirement given by Heppner was to design the track according to the record title. Apart from that, the principle of freedom applied. The result is a kind of extremely exciting dance sampler, which corresponds between the ideas of various producers (incl. Apoptygma Berzerk and Schiller), Heppner's songwriting and his voice, which serves as a common thread.
